Major Title Changes, Record Crowd, Tag Team Challenge Made At TNA Slammiversary

A record-breaking crowd of 7,623 fans witnessed a number of title changes over the course of tonight’s TNA Slammiversary, as recapped by Jerome Wilen in his live coverage for the show. This was the largest crowd for any TNA event in North America.

A match between TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne saw both titles on the line…and ultimately, Jayne picked up the victory to hold both belts in front of the largest crowd in company history.

Fans at the UBS Arena and watching from home also saw Leon Slater overcome the might of Moose to become the youngest TNA X-Division Champion of all time, with a post-match celebration that saw AJ Styles return to TNA for the first time in over a decade.

Following the final title change of the night, which saw The Hardys win a Four-Way Ladder Match for the TNA World Championship, the new champs were interrupted by Bully Ray who issued a challenge to his former rivals for one last match between them and Team 3D with the titles on the line at Bound For Glory on October 12! The PPV is set to take place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
