Karina Steen, wife of WWE star Kevin Owens is not pleased with comments WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley made during her appearance on Insight with Chris Van Van Vliet.
In the episode, which was posted on last Tuesday, Kelley revealed to Van Vliet she was recently diagnosed with autism. Kelley said Owens who is one of her best friends in the company has been supportive of her, after the diagnosis and knows a lot about autism because of his son Owen.
“I wanna say it gradually grew over time. He has a lot of the same humor as my family has. So you just end up gravitating towards people that get that. He has been super supportive especially since the diagnosis since he knows so much about it because of his son.”
Karina took to Instagram Stories indicating that what Kelley said about her and Kevin’s son is not true, especially without consent.
“As someone who actively tries to stay out of drama, when it comes to my child I have to speak up. Recently @cathykelley mentioned my son in an interview. Why she would choose to talk about someone else’s childs ‘medical history’ is beyond me. What she said isn’t true. I do my best to keep my family private. As a protective mother it really angers me when someone takes it upon themselves to talk about my children on a public platform, without my/ Kevin’s/their consent. The fact I need to come out and clear this up is so ridiculous.”
