Two titles changed hands at the Lucha Libra AAA Worldwide Triplemania event at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday night.
First – AEW star QT Marshall is the new AAA Latin American Champion, while AEW star Taya Valkyrie lost the AAA Reina de Reinas Title
Marshall won the title after pinning Pentagon Jr., in a match which also featured Dralistico and Texano. The finish saw Marshall remove Pentagon’s mask, then pinning him to win the title.
This is Marshall’s first championship, since holding the MFPW Heavyweight Title back in 2017.
Second – Flammer challenged AEW star Taya Valkyrie for the AAA Reina de Reinas Title in a No Disqualification Match. Flammer would go on to win the championship.
The finish saw Taya deliver a Curb Stomp on Flammer to get the pin, but La Hiedra grabbed the referee’s arm, stopping the count. Maravilla then hit Taya with a chair. Flammer hit Taya with the Flammer Driver for to get the victory.
