Big E reveals he has a broken neck after taking a bad bump on WWE SmackDown

During his tag team match on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Big E and Ridge Holland were fighting on the outside of the ring, when Holland attempted a Belly-to-Belly Suplex. Big E landed very awkwardly on top of his head. We previously reported, the match ended soon after with Sheamus hitting a Brough Kick on Kofi Kingston for the pin to get the victory.

Big E was taken to a local hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He revealed took to social media to reveal he has a broken neck.

WWE Medical personnel attended to Big E at the closing moments of the match, and then stretchered him out of the ringside area. Our sources are saying that those in attendance said Big E could be seen giving a thumbs up on his way to the back.

This puts Big E out of Wrestlemania 38, where he and New Day were scheduled to square off against Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch.

Below is the full transcript of Big E’s message, along with his Twitter post below:

“I can’t thank all of you, beautiful people enough for all of your concern and your messages. It’s very heartwarming. I can move all my digits. You see that? That’s nice. That’s always a good thing.   Strength feels fine, but unfortunately, right now they tell me my neck is broken, so there’s that, but, once again, thank you everybody. I’m gonna be all right. I’ll be good. Don’t worry. Go to sleep. Don’t worry about on me, but, uh, for real, thank you. And, uh, I appreciate all of you for real.”
