Report: Bret Hart believed to have “quietly signed a lucrative WWE deal”

According to a new report by F4WOnline, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart is believed to have “quietly signed a lucrative WWE deal” that prevents him from appearing in AEW. The report also notes the new deal allows Hart to take independent bookings.

Hart is scheduled to manage current ROH and AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR at the Big Time Wrestling show on June 10 at the Webster Town Hall in Webster, MA.

FTR will square off against Brock Anderson and Brian Pillman, Jr. with Arn Anderson as their manager.

The report also notes Hart’s deal with WWE will prevent him from playing a role AEW’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament as well.

Furthermore, it was said the 64-year-old WWE Hall of Famer plans on slowing down his public appearances and autograph events most likely by the end of this year, with the exception for any events that he thinks would be particularly fun to do. Lastly, it was said Hart is also looking at writing a second book that would focus on his life after wrestling and what made him love wrestling as a child.

There had been recent rumors that Hart was possibly joining, AEW. Hart appeared AEW’s first-ever pay-per-view Double or Nothing in May 2019 when he unveiled the AEW Championship Belt.
