WWE has posted a video from this past weekend, with John Cena taking the time out of his schedule to visit a Ukrainian refugee with Down syndrome.
Cena visited 19-year-old Misha Rohozhyn and his family in Huizen, Netherlands on Sunday, June 5. The family had to make their escape from Ukraine this past March when their home in Mariupol was destroyed by Russia’s invasion of the country.
According to Misha’s mother Liana, the two had created a “motivational fantasy” with the promise that Cena would be waiting at the end of their dangerous journey out of Ukraine.
Misha’s story is also featured in the Wall Street Journal and Yahoo! Sports.
It was announced during this past Monday’s episode of Raw, that Cena will return to WWE for an episode of Raw that will take place in Larado, TX on June 27. His appearance on the show will in honor of celebrating his 20-year anniversary with WWE. His last appearance with WWE was September 2021 at a house show held at Madison Square Garden.
