Cody Rhodes undergoes successful surgery to repair right torn pectoral

Brandi Rhodes, wife of WWE Raw Superstar Cody Rhodes has undergone successful surgery to repair his torn right pectoral.  Brandi took to Twitter Thursday to make the announcement.

Rhodes suffered the torn pectoral while weight training ahead of Hell in a Cell for his match against Seth Rollins. WWE stated Rhodes had partially torn the tendon in a brawl with Rollins on Raw, with the complete tear happening when he was weight training.

Despite the injury, Rhodes still performed at Hell in a Cell, defeating Rollins in the main event inside the steel cage. The following night on Raw, WWE did an injury angle at the opening of the show, in which Rollins attacked Rhodes from behind with a sledgehammer.

As of this report, there is no time-line as to how long Rhodes will be out in-ring action. Most medical experts indicate that this type of injury, after surgery can take six to nine months for a full recovery.
