According to F4WOnline the belief is John Cena will be working WrestleMania 39. It was also said he is working on his schedule to make sure he will be able to appear at the event, with the belief he can it done.
The report further notes Cena will be unavailable to WWE through most of February and March due to filming a movie outside the United States. There was reportedly talk at one point he would have a match with Austin Theory, but that was under the Vince McMahon regime.
Cena will make his in-ring return he teams with Kevin Owens to take on Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn on the final SmackDown of 2022, which will take place next Friday live on FOX, and emanating the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Near the end of last Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, Cena appeared in a video on the big screen to set up his return and the match.
