News and notes from Monday night’s WWE Raw is 30

The following are news and notes from Monday’s WWE Raw is 30.

The steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley did not go as initially planned. The match was supposed to see Becky winning and then getting a beat down by Damage CTRL.  Due to the Tribal Court segment going “Extremely Long”, the decision was made to bypass the match and go right to the post-match finish instead. Bayley spent a lot of time arguing with fans as she was climbing the steel cage during a Raw commercial break.

Jerry Lawler wore the exact same outfit he wore back in 1993 during his Monday Night Raw debut.

During the DX segment, when Triple H made the comment about “If only there was someone other than him to make decisions.,” the fans began to boo, thinking he was making a tease to Vince McMahon.  This ended up being Teddy Long coming out instead.

Hulk Hogan’s microphone kept cutting out during his promo.  It was nothing being censored on the live broadcast.

The announced attendance for the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA was 16,975, which was a legitimate sellout.

Alicia Taylor from WWE NXT worked as the Raw ring announcer.

The legendary Ringside Charlie Adorno, who was in the front row of the first Raw back in January 1993, was in attendance.  He was also at the 10th and 25th anniversary Raw events.

WWN official Trevin Adams was at the show.

There was no post-taping dark segment.  Austin Theory vs. Seth Rollins in a Street Fight had been advertised but that wasn’t going to happen after Brock Lesnar wrecked Bobby Lashley and Theory.
