In a recent interview with the New York Post, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair revealed that is was several dental surgeries as the reason why she was away from WWE for nearly eight months.
Flair went on to say that she originally planned to take time off from WWE to get married. However, she said that she had no choice but to take care of dental issues that had been bothering her since childhood. Flair and current AEW star Andrade El Idolo got married last May.
Flair made a surprise return to the WWE back on the December 30, 2022 episode of SmackDown, defeating Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She had not wrestled prior to that after losing an “I Quit” match to Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash back on May 8, 2022.
