There has apparently been some rumors going around that Rollins vs. AJ Styles was the opening match for Night of Champions due to Rollins needing to fly back to the United States to resume filming his role in the new Captain America: New World Order film.
According to Fightful Select, there is no truth to the rumors that Rollins was scheduled to leave Saudi Arabia early. It was said that he finished filming his role for the new Captain America film, ahead of Night of Champions.
Fightful Select also noted that the talent and staff who traveled to Saudi Arabia were said to be fairly tired at Raw on Monday, even with getting a full nights sleep in Albany, New York on Sunday. It was further said that the travel process was described, as the talent and crew left Jeddah three hours late. Fightful Select concluded by noting WWE had a significant less amount props brought for Night of Champions, compared to what they bring to the average episode of Raw.
