WWE Hall of Famer advertised for an episode of SmackDown in his hometown

WWE Hall of Famer Edge is headed back to his hometown this August for an episode of WWE SmackDown.

The ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto announced on Wednesday via Twitter that Edge is scheduled to appear on the show, which is set to take August 18 at the venue.

The last time Edge wrestled in his hometown was back on the August 22, 2022 episode of Raw, when defeated Damian Priest.

After his match against Priest in an unaired promo segment, Edge teased the possibility of WWE’s Toronto return in 2023 being his final match.

Edge wrestled last competed back on the May 12 episode of SmackDown against AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio, in a triple threat match as part of the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament to crown a new champion. Styles went won the match.
