Becky Lynch opens up about being “in a really bad spot” with coping with post-weaning depression

After dealing with postpartum depression and coping in the months since WrestleMania 39, Becky Lynch has opened up about her experience with Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick on a recent episode of the After The Bell podcast.

Lynch discussed being “on edge” as she dealt with this, stating:

“It was kind of one of those things where you’re trying to pull yourself out of it, because you know mentally, ‘God, I’ve got a great life. I’ve got a great husband. I’ve got a great baby, and I’m doing this thing at the highest level that I love.’ But no reasoning with yourself was able to overcome that level of depression.”

Becky would go on to talk about the helpful advice another mother in WWE gave her, as the former Women’s Champion came to grips with the realization that the depression would not simply pass…to the point where her recovery from a foot injury following WrestleMania turned out to be a blessing:

“I really had to face everything that I was going through because when you go, go, go, you can be so distracted but you realize that you’re getting quite explosive, that you just kind of get on with it. So, I really had to face it and learn how to deal with it.”
