Wrestleview reader Andrew Elder who attended Monday night’s WWE Raw at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, TN, sent in the following onsite report.
Really good show. Also an emotional one with the tributes to Terry Funk, Bob Barker (former Raw Guest Host/Price Is Right Host) and especially Bray Wyatt (held back tears on that one).
I was taking a bathroom break, but Jerry Lawler was brought out by both Sami and Kevin Owens during commercial break. As my uncle said for everything, he’s been through Jerry looks good. (Note other news orgs have run with the Miz and Logan Paul saying Jerry was born in Cleveland, that’s not true as Jerry was born here and lived most of his time here, when he was young, his family moved outside of Cleveland due to his father’s job at the Ford Motor Plant moving to that area).
Not sure the official total for last night but it was pretty full on the two lower levels of FedEx Forum, with only a few areas tarped off including the Upper Deck area.
Dominic came back out during the commercial break after the Rhea and Raquel segment and got that nuclear heat. He couldn’t get a word out. Then Cody’s music hit, came out to a huge reaction and gave Dom the CrossRhodes.
During the breaks saw the DX cam and the sign cams.
Becky and Zoey were about 4-5 Rows down from where me and my uncle were sitting during the Falls Count Anywhere Match. (Appropriate match to have after the tribute to Terry Funk) I had a popcorn bucket by me in case they got close and wanted to use it lol.
Becky was crying after the match holding the Bray arm bracelet. After Raw went off the air, Becky came set on the ringside barricade near our side. She talked about how Bray had helped her how to setup a table for her first table match. And while he had his own match, he took time and worked with her for several hours to get it right. Samantha Irvin was crying and hugged a camera man at ringside.
