Endeavor and WWE deal expected to close next Tuesday

Endeavor and WWE announced on Thursday via a press release that Endeavor’s deal to purchase WWE and merge the company with UFC, to form TKO Group Holdings, Inc. is expected to close on Tuesday, September 12.

The merger was first announced at the beginning of the April 3 episode of WWE Raw, which was the night after WrestleMania 39 Night Two.

Endeavor’s CEO Ari Emanuel will be the CEO of the brand new TKO Group Holdings, Inc, while WWE’s controlling shareholder Vince McMahon will serve as executive chairman.

Endeavor will own a 51 percent of the new company and WWE shareholders will own the other 49 percent.
