John Cena is returning to next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
On Friday night’s show, Grayson Waller announced during Austin Theory’s match against LA Knight Cena will be the guest on the Grayson Waller Effect next week.
Cena was interrupted by Waller back at the Money in the Bank PLE in London. Cena had hyped up the fans in the O2 Arena for getting WrestleMania. Waller trashed London and suggested that WrestleMania should take place in Australia instead. At the close of the segment, Cena delivered an AA on Waller. At WrestleMania 39 Night One back on April 1, Cena was unsuccessful in capturing the United States Title from Theory.
Also during Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, after LA Knight defeated Theory, Knight went into Adam Pearce’s office and asked him for another match with The Miz, which was made. Before Knight left Pearce’s office, he had a brief confrontation with Paul Heyman, in which Heyman gave Knight a warning by telling him to knock next time. The Miz lost to Knight at Payback. He has been saying that with John Cena was not fair as a referee for the match.
Next Friday night’s WWE SmackDown will take place live on FOX and emanate from the Ball Center (formerly known as the Pepsi Center), in Denver, Colorado.
