According to a report by Tokyo Sports, WWE’s flagship show Raw, WWE SmackDown and all WWE Premium Live Events will air on ABEMA in Japan.
Raw will air on Tuesday nights at 8:00 pm local time and SmackDown will air at 8:00 pm local time on Saturdays. It was further noted both shows will air in Japanese and free of charge.
It was also noted that WWE Hall of Famer Great Muta (Keiji Muto) will be an ambassador for a special broadcast to air this Friday, September 29. Muta was recently seen on WWE TV, as he sat ringside at Payback in Pittsburgh, PA at the PPG Paints Arena, as Shinsuke Nakamura challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE programming previously aired on Japan’s J Sports network.
