Coming out of Monday night’s WWE Raw, the final SmackDown before Fastlane will have appearances by Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso will challenge Damian Priest and Finn Balor for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at this Saturday’s Fastlane. During an interview on Monday night’s Raw, Rhodes said he never planned on teaming up with Jey Uso. He went on to say thatThe Judgment Day have backed themselves into a corner with this title match. He said that he and Jey will win the tag team titles WWE Fastlane and Raw will be a very different version come next Monday.
Also previously announced for SmackDown is Dragon Lee vs. Austin Theory and appearances by The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor & Damian Priest.
This Friday’s WWE SmackDown will air live on FOX and take place from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO.
Becky Lynch Update
NXT Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was not medically cleared for Monday’s WWE Raw after she suffered a laceration on her right arm during her Extreme Rules Title Match at Saturday’s NXT No Mercy PLE. Lynch required 11 stitches to close the wound after she retained the title over Tiffany Stratton.
The news of Lynch not being medically cleared was first reported by Fightful Select on Monday, postponing her NXT Women’s Title defense against Tegan Nox.
Lynch made an appearance in a backstage segment on Monday night’s Raw, inviting Indi Hartwell to Tuesday night’s NXT.
