Fightful Select is reporting that those they have spoken with in WWE who stated that Vince McMahon McMahon was not involved in the decision to bring CM back. It was all Nick Khan and Triple H.
F4WOnline also confirmed Fightful Select’s report that it was Nick Khan and Triple H that made the decision to bring Punk back in.
In a separate from PWInsider, CM Punk received an offer from IMPACT Wrestling after he was fired from AEW this past September.
Both PWInsider and F4WOnline also have confirmed from Fightful Select that many of the TKO executives did not find out about Punk’s return until he actually walked out at the end of Saturday night’s Survivor Series.
The report from F4WOnline also confirmed other reports that Punk’s WWE contract is a multi-year deal. It was also said that the deal was put together about 10-days ago and of course kept secret.
