Tony Khan says he cannot ‘legally talk about’ CM Punk’s WWE return

During a media interview promoting AEW All In 2024 tickets going on sale, Tony Khan was asked about the WWE return of CM Punk.

Punk made his return to the company at Survivor Series on 11/25, less than three months after his contract with AEW was terminated with cause following a backstage incident taking place at All In 2023.

When asked by Steve Hermon of BBC Radio West Midlands if he was surprised to see Punk appear at the WWE Premium Live Event, the AEW President responded:

“Can’t talk about that, nor do I think it’s the time or the place. But I appreciate you asking, and I’m very excited about AEW All In Wembley Stadium. Not to dodge or duck your question, it’s just not something I can legally talk about.”

The appearance at Survivor Series marked Punk’s first time back in WWE since walking out of the company in early 2014.

WWE has confirmed Punk will be appearing on the 11/27 edition of RAW, in what appears to be setting up a feud between Punk and the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins.

The pre-sale for AEW All In 2024 tickets began today, with general public on-sale beginning on Friday, December 1.
