During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on AJ Styles, who was last seen in WWE back in September.
Meltzer noted that Styles is set to make his return to the company on Friday for SmackDown, after plans appeared to have him return sooner:
“By the way, AJ Styles is going to be back on Friday. Or he’s supposed to be back on Friday. You know, he was supposed to be back a couple weeks ago and wasn’t back. But that’s the plan right now.”
On the 9/22 edition of SmackDown, Styles was attacked by The Bloodline of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, which set the stage for his absence and for LA Knight to take his place in teaming with John Cena at Fastlane.
