WWE held a house show on Saturday night at the Knoxville Civic Center in Knoxville, TN which saw Cody Rhodes defeat Shinsuke Nakamura in a street fight in the main event.
The Rock was booed by the fans in attendance when a video package was shown during the house show on the big screen from last Friday’s SmackDown.
Rhodes was expected to announce on last Friday’s show he would be finishing his story this year at WrestleMania 40. However, Rhodes will not finish his story, as The Rock instead will replace Rhodes at the big two-night event, by challenging Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
