During Raw, it was announced that Damian Priest will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against “Main Event” Jey Uso at Backlash France next month.
Backlash takes place at the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu in Lyon Metropolis, France, on May 4. On last week’s Raw, Jey Uso became the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship after he won a Fatal 4-Way match.
Priest won the championship at Night Two of WrestleMania 40 after he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract against Drew McIntyre, who had just defeated Seth “Freakin” Rollins. McIntyre then trash-talked CM Punk, who was on commentary. Punk took out McIntyre, which allowed Damian Priest to cash in the Money in the Bank contract and win the title.
