After AEW Grand Slam Mexico went of off the air, a match between Blue Panther and Lee Moriarty was taped for ROH x CMLL Global Wars. Following the match, Moriarty and the Infantry and Shane Taylor attacked Panther.
Former AEW Champion Bryan Danielson, along with his friends Hologram, Mascara Dorada and Atlantis, Sr. saved Panther from a further attack. Danielson hit Taylor with a Busaiku Knee.

Danielson has not appeared on AEW programming since losing the World Championship to Jon Moxley at the WrestleDream pay-per-view in Tacoma, Washington back on October 12, 2024. During an interview back in April, Danielson said that his “neck is wrecked” and that he been involved in backstage aspects of AEW on the creative side of things since being off television.
