Report: Nick Khan endorses HHH at town hall meeting, defends current product

UPDATED 4/27/26 @ 5:25 PM ET

According to PWInsider, Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s new contract is a “multiple year deal”, possibly as long as three year, with it finalized before WrestleMania 42 weekend.

PWInsider also notes Khan did speak on the criticism of WrestleMania 42, noting that in the previous WrestleMania events have also received online scrutiny, but that such complaints are not reliable to measure how events are received overall.

It was also indicated that each department of TKO – WWE, PBR, UFC, etc.) spent around five minutes going over all of their successes, which was very much a “rah rah call.”

-Original report published 4:11 pm ET-

According to POST Wrestling, during at town hall meeting at WWE Headquarters on Monday, company President Nick Khan told staff Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque will continue in his role as head of creative.

The report notes that it is not clear if Khan’s comments reflect that of a formal extension of Levesque’s contract, or if it was seen more less as affirmation of his performance as head of WWE’s creative.

POST Wrestling further notes that Khan also addressed the online criticism of WWE during the town hall, after being prompted by TKO President Mark Shapiro. It was added that Khan pushed back on criticism of the company’s current product, saying that it as coming from “a vocal minority.” Khan specifically mentioned how WrestleMania Night One not well received in comparison to how well Night Two was received.

POST Wrestling concluded by noting that Khan read multiple messages from around 2015, which are believed to have been social media posts, that were critical of WWE’s product at that time-period. Khan appeared to have used the examples to argue that such criticism has historically proven to be unreliable.

WWE communications staff did not immediately return a request to POST Wrestling to clarify their report.

Per a new report from Fightful Select, it was heavily implied to the publication that Paul Levesque and WWE/TKO have come to terms on a new long-term agreement.
