According to PWInsider, there is said to be a lot of excitement in AEW about the potential of The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) coming into the company.
The report also notes that a number of people tied to AEW pointed out that the Young Bucks and The New Day in years past, did tease about wrestling each other and there are some in the company who are excited there is a possibility of the match actually taking place.
There are a number of AEW talent who have commented on the departures of The New Day, including MJF, Cash Wheeler and Ricochet.
It was reported on Saturday, Kingston, Woods and WWE mutually parted ways. Kingston and Woods are expected to be under 90-day non-compete clauses. WWE has also released JC Mateo (Jeff Cobb) and Tonga Loa.
