We are under 3 weeks away from Canada’s hottest wrestling company getting back to what it does best and that is providing wrestling fans the best very best in Canadian wrestling! Here is what has been announced as of today,

Fans Bring The Weapons Handicap Match
The Sons of Anarchy (Mike Mission, “Big” Cliff Corleone, & Billy Blaze) vs. The Original Thug Crew (Darren “The Bomb” Dalton & “The Canadian Crime Spree” Spyder)

The most violent and bloody rivalry comes to end on June 1st when the OTC and SOA do battle in CWE’s first ever Fans Bring the Weapons Match! These five men have displayed acts of graphic violence never seen before in CWE or Central Canada over the last 9 months with their lives being put at risk time and time again. We thought we saw the end of the feud when the OTC and Tommy Dreamer defeated the SOA at Explicit Content after Mission was slammed on both barbed wire and thumb tacks. All it did was up the ante and anger the SOA giving them a bigger chip on their shoulder to prove they are the new wave of hardcore.

The SOA demanded a rematch and got it on the condition it would contested under Fans Bring the Weapons rules. June 1st will take witness a match never seen before CWE and not one for the weak of heart. This blood feud will come to an end June 1st!

WWE Legend TATANKA vs. Anderson Tyson Moore w/Kat Von Heez

For the first time ever WWE Legend Tatanka comes to CWE and what is his first appearance in the province in ten years. The WWE megastar had a very long successful stint in the then WWF in the 90’s going undefeated for the first two years he competed. Having competed against the best the business has to offer including the likes of Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect Tatanka developed a large following during his WWF/E tenure and is still beloved by fans to this day. The former weightlifting champion is still in fantastic shape and looks to go undefeated in his CWE debut!

Anderson Tyson Moore fresh off losing the CWE Tag Team championship which he held for a year and a half looks to bounce back and find a new niche for himself in the singles division after the unexpected and shocking announcement of his tag team partner Robby Royce’s retirement. Still suffering the affects of the brutal Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match the question is if ATM is healed and good to go and if he will be able to adjust to not having a partner to tag in when the going gets tough. Will ATM’s star rise on his own or sizzle out without his long term tag team partner?!

Farewell to Robby Royce.

After perhaps the most talked about match in CWE history, Tables, Ladders, and Chairs between Team Impact and the Big Sexy Beasts all the buzz about was how violent, gruesome, and innovative it was. Little did anyone know that the consequences as a result of this most talked about match was a severely injured Robby Royce.

Days following the match Royce was rushed to the hospital in critical condition coughing up and vomiting large amounts of blood to what was discovered to be a torn esophagus. If not making it to the hospital in time the scare could have been fatal for the former tag team champion. In what was with much disbelief that Robby Royce announced his retirement due to severity of the injury and doctor’s orders.

Robby Royce has been in a staple of Manitoba wrestling for 22 years and by building a reputation of always laying it on the line regardless of opponent, crowd size, or condition of his body. Loved or hated by members of the locker room, Royce’s work ethic was always respected by his peers and management alike.

Royce made a point to raise the bar each and every time he stepped in the ring and was a mentor to many of the local scene’s top stars of his 22 year tenure. With historic battles against the businesses best on the local, national, and international level Royce has a very impressive resume to his name, one in which many would be lucky to accomplish a fraction of.

It is with great sadness that CWE will say goodbye to the in ring career of Robby Royce on June 1st. Don’t miss the opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to the man who has laid his body on the line for wrestling fans in this province for 22 years.

Stay posted to www.cwecanada.ca for more match announcements and upcoming interviews.
