The Union sent this in.
Hot on the heels of the successful WRESTLESTOCK event, the Union of Independent Professional Wrestlers returns to Royal Canadian Legion Hall No.10 (1083 Pape Avenue in Toronto) on Saturday night July 7th for REIGN OF TERROR. Tickets are $20 each and go on sale today at the Silver Snail Comic Shop (367 Queen St West) and $tretch Thrift Store (974 Pape Ave) as well as at the Legion Hall and online at our website: www.WrestlersUnion.ca.
In the main event of the evening, newly crowned Union Heavyweight champion JOSH ALEXANDER will make his very first title defense against former Union Heavyweight champion JOHN McCHESNEY! After defeating STEVE CORINO for the title in an impromptu match at WRESTLESTOCK, Alexander went to Union Boss ANTHONY KINGDOM JAMES and demanded that McChesney be his next opponent. “Being the Union champion isn’t enough for ‘The Ronin’. I plan to prove I’m the greatest wrestler to ever hold this title. So what better way to start the ball rolling than by destroying one of the Union’s most iconic figures: John McChesney”.
McChesney, a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, has been part of the Union roster since the very first shows were held in his hometown almost a decade ago. A former Union Heavyweight and Cruiserweight champion, the man they call “Big League” isn’t shying away from the new champion’s challenge. “I know Josh Alexander. He’s a great young talent who is going to go far in the wrestling business… but he’s got a bad attitude and a big mouth? Let’s just say I’m eager to get back in a Union ring so I can regain my title and teach Josh a very valuable lesson about not biting off more than you can chew.”
Sparks will fly in our main event in this battle of youth vs experience, power vs speed and new champion vs former champion. You won’t want to miss a minute of the action as John McChesney tries to dethrone Josh Alexander and end his “REIGN OF TERROR”!
In addition to this huge main event match-up, Ring of Honor superstar MICHAEL ELGIN returns to action as he faces “The Iron Lion”, SEBASTIAN SUAVE. Elgin is determined to make his way back into the No.1 Contender’s spot and get another shot at the Union title. Suave has watched Elgin’s rise to international stardom over the last couple of years and knows what a win over “The Unbreakable One” could do to launch his own career.
Plus, both the Union Tag Team and the Northern Lights Unified Cruiserweight championships will be defended. Stay tuned to your favorite wrestling news source over the next few days as we announce these matches plus much, much more for “REIGN OF TERROR”.

Controversial cruiserweight wrestler ASHLEY SIXX isn’t done stirring up trouble. At WRESTLESTOCK, The Wrestlers Union unified its Cruiserweight championship with the PWA Internet title and the World-1 Under-30 title to create the brand new Northern Lights Cruiserweight championship. Sixx complained loudly that he deserved to be in the match but his pleas were rejected by Union Boss Anthony Kingdom James.
Sixx, who kicked off the event with a decisive submission victory over highly-touted young star Brent Banks, returned to the ring at the start of the unification match to disrupt the proceedings. The start of the match was delayed as Sixx grabbed the microphone, insulted the wrestlers in the ring and told both Kingdom and the crowd that he WOULD be the Northern Lights champion. Kingdom and members of the Union’s security staff had to literally chase Sixx through the crowd, as Ash clambered over the fans, before they could grab him and physically eject him from the Legion Hall.
Ash gave what Kingdom called a “half-hearted apology” for causing the ruckus but will be given another Union match. Can Ashley Sixx keep it together long enough to EARN a shot at the NLC title? Or will his crazed ego get the better of him again? Join us at REIGN OF TERROR on July 7th 2012 to find out.

Uno’s final selection! MVP’s CTL Challenge! Four-Corner Mayhem!
With less than two weeks until our biggest show ever, “Crossing the Line 5”, we are excited to make several card-shaping announcements!
First up, as announced previously, Player Uno has chosen three of Stu Grayson’s five opponents. A week later and Player Uno informed C*4 management that he has selected the final two spots in the massive Main Event for June 16th.
Previously announced, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, “Ronin” Josh Alexander, and “Hacker” Scotty O’Shea are all lined-up as challengers. Well, now Player Uno has told us his final two choices.
Uno has informed us that he has gone back to two of Grayson’s earliest championship defences, and is granting them another chance.
Firstly, a man who had a single shot at Grayson’s championship, and came within a hair of winning the belt, back in November of 2010…”Textbook” Tyson Dux.
Dux returned to C*4 this season with a drive and determination which had had not shown in years. He has made it clear to anybody who will listen that he wants to be THE MAN in C*4, independent wrestling, and beyond.
While he is not an ally of Uno, he is a determined and dangerous competitor. And at the end of the day, Player Uno wants to put together the toughest opponents possible for Grayson. Dux is just that.
Lastly, a man who stepped up to Stu in September 2010, at RE-Ignition – a man who has blown-up in the last two years to become a true international sensation. Rounding out with the number six spot of the match – “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, who has grown by leaps and bounds since his last Championship chance.
Player Uno has selected the field. So now the question isn’t so much is can Stu Grayson retain his championship, as to who will walk away the new champion?

Next up, we have this letter from “MVP” Michael Von Payton – which is pretty self-explanatory…
“Dearest C4 ownership/booking team,
I can honestly say that I’m a little perturbed that Crossing the Line 5 is less than 2 weeks away and I find myself without an opponent for what will arguably be the biggest show in C*4’s five year history.
When this company began a little over 5 years ago it wanted to mesh the best International talent along with the best that Ontario and Quebec had to offer (local talent so to speak). At the very first event “The Big Bang”, Max Boyer was set to square off with a man from Yonkers, New York, who no-showed the event. I was asked if I would mind stepping in, of course I didn’t mind, in what became a tag team match where I teamed with Hallowicked against Boyer and an also ‘stepping in, Kevin Steen. This was my opportunity to show that I was a main event player and that I belonged in matches with these International stars. That day was the first of many main events.
So after five years of being such a key player in this company, being one of several people that helped build and shape this company into the great promotion that it is today, it disgusts me that the owners still have nothing for me. You could say I feel a little disrespected right now.
I’m going to issue a challenge right now to that man who no showed C4’s first event. That man’s name is Eddie Kingston. I don’t know Eddie Kingston and I certainly don’t know much about his past but it’s my understanding that he no showed the Big Bang due to some well documented personal problems that he was going through at the time. I don’t hold a grudge for him no showing, hell, that was the opening I seized to prove I was a top guy. Who knows where I’d be on the C4 landscape today if it were not for that opportunity.
While I was working to be a top player here for C4 wrestling Eddie rose to the occasion and cleaned up his personal problems and became a top star on the American Indy wrestling circuit. He’s won everybody back over with his hard work and dedication, winning his life back as well as a prestigious wrestling championship for the Chikara promotion based out of the US.
So it seems that just as he’s earned the respect of his peers and all the fans in the wrestling community, I’ve slowly been losing their respect along with the respect and confidence of C4 ownership.
I can’t pretend to know the personal struggles that Eddie’s been through as I’ve been lucky enough to have a loving and supportive family to help get me through any tough times. It takes great will and determination to overcome those struggles and build yourself back up. Well now I’ve got to rebuild myself. It’s time for me to step up to better competition and show ownership, fans and the rest of the roster that I belong at the top of the heap once again and I will earn back every ounce of respect that was lost and then some.
So here I am C4, asking you to put forward my request to Eddie Kingston.
There’s no personal issue between us there’s just a strong desire to step into the ring with some of the best wrestlers in the world and show I belong.
Make no mistake, this is all about respect. The respect I deserve.

Lastly for today, we have an announcement for a match which has the potential to steal the show…
On May 12th, debuting on the main roster, Jagger Miles managed to pin Alex Vega, in a highly competitive contest. Both men gave it everything they had, and nearly stole the show.
C*4 management was quick to decide that both men needed to compete against each other sooner than later.
Well, both men will be stepping into the same ring on June 14th; however they’ll be doing it along with two other men – one a familiar face to C*4 fans, while the other is a new one, who will no doubt look to make an impression.
One of these men will be Sexxxy Eddy. Eddy, always popular with C*4 fans, is looking to claim a victory over these two younger up-and-comers. A win here would again prove why Eddy certainly belongs amongst the best in C*4.
The final man in this match is a debuting face to C*4 fans, however he is no stranger to Sexxxy Eddy specifically. C*4 is very excited to welcome the debuting “Heavy” Maxx Fury!
Fury, a staple to the early days of IWS, is the man who trained Sexxxy Eddy , and arguably one of the quickest and most dangerous competitors out of Quebec.
A martial arts master, and high-flying cruiserweight, we have no doubt that Maxx Fury will put on a show-stealing showcase on June 16th.
Who will walk away with a victory at “Crossing the Line 5”? One thing is for sure, the fans will easily be the winners here!
