Ric Flair’s Last Match said to be one of the biggest indie shows ever

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ric Flair’s Last Match was one of the biggest independent shows ever.

It is being said the show drew 6,800 fans for a live gate revenue of $448,502. Reportedly, it also drew between 20,000 and 25,000 buys through FITE TV, and 4,200 buys on traditional PPV.

Ric Flair’s Last Match was held at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN. The event, which was part of WWE SummerSlam and Starrcast V weekend was initially going to take place at the Nashville Fairgrounds. However, due to strong ticket sales, Jim Crockett Promotions moved it to the larger venue.
