Cheerleader Melissa to be inducted into the 2023 Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame

Game Changer Wrestling announced on Wednesday that Cheerleader Melissa is the second inductee for this year’s Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame. She will be inducted by the co-founder of Shimmer, Dave Prazak.

Melissa is best known for her time in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling as Awesome Kong’s manager, Raisha Saeed. She also made appearances in the promotion in 2013 under the in-ring name of Alissa Flash.

Melissa started her pro wrestling career in 1999. She is a former two-time Shimmer Champion. She also has made appearances for APW, ChickFight, Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling and the NWA. Melissa is also a one-time Shimmer Tag Team Champion with Mercedes Martinez.

Christopher Daniels, who was announced as the first inductee, trained Melissa. Daniels will be inducted by his long-time tag team partner, and current IMPACT star Frankie Kazarian.

This year’s Indie Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place on April 2 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles during WrestleMania 39 weekend.
