Wrestleview.com’s Mike Tedesco spoke with former TNA Wrestling personality Don West live at Starrcast in Chicago during ALL IN weekend recently.
Here are a few highlights from the interview.
Don on being part of the first ever Starrcast:
“This is the coolest wrestling convention I’ve ever seen. And it’s chaos. And it’s crazy. And you’ve got too many things probably going on at once. But anytime someone complains you know what I tell them? Think of the alternative. This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.”
On the vibe at Starrcast and ALL IN feeling a bit like TNA:
“This is what TNA should have been in the mid-2000s. We were probably, social media wise, 5 to 10 years too early. If we had done it right, that’s what that should have been. I don’t know about this big. But it should have been something like that. Half those guys we had! All of them have been through our place (TNA). This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s a revolution, man.”
Don also goes on to talk about getting approached by Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo to first be part of WCW and how it later worked out for him when TNA started up.
