SLAMMIVERSARY: Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez

Matt Morgan is out first and is wearing a neckbrace. Morgan regrets to inform everyone that The Blueprint can’t compete tonight on Pay Per View. He said you can blame Hernandez for putting him out of action. Morgan presents a doctor’s note to the referee saying he can’t wrestle tonight. Taz adds, “What is this, high school?” He apologizes to the masses who ordered this Pay Per View tonight soley because of him. Morgan heads up the ramp to the back when Hernandez runs out and attacks him. Hernandez takes Morgan’s neckbrace off and tosses him in the ring.

Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez

The bell officially rings and Hernandez takes his shirt off and starts choking Morgan with it. Hernandez starts choking Morgan in the corner with his boot. The referee tries to push Hernandez off Morgan. Hernandez grabs the referee, lifts him up and sits him down on the top turnbuckle. Morgan drops to his knees begging Hernandez to stop and then pulls him towards the ropes and to the outside. Morgan drops Hernandez with a clothesline and tosses him back in the ring. Morgan sends Hernandez shoulder first into the steel ring post. Morgan does this a second time. Morgan starts bowing to the crowd and then stomps Hernandez when he rolls back in. Morgan fires his right and left elbows into the head of Hernandez in the corner. Taz said that was “vintage” Morgan. Hernandez with a big shoulder block on Morgan. Hernandez takes Morgan’s shirt off and starts choking Morgan with it. The referee gets back in Hernandez’ face. Hernandez grabs the referee and pushes him away with force. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner: No Contest

After the match, Hernandez and Matt Morgan keep brawling on the outside. Hernandez ends up catching referee Brian Hebner with a big boot right to the ribs as Morgan runs away. TNA referees run down to ringside to attend to Brian including his father Earl Hebner.

Backstage, Christy Hemme is with Hulk Hogan. Hogan said Sting has been crossing the line since he has arrived in TNA including his actions against Jeff Jarrett. He said if there is one guy who can hold his own with Sting it is the TNA World Champion Rob Van Dam.
