AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT viewership down as election coverage dominates

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for November 5, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 717,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is down from last week’s show that drew an average of 781,000 viewers on TNT.

Dynamite came in at No. 56 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 12 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT, drew an average of 610,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is down from last week’s show that averaged 876,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 68 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 21 where they placed last week.

CNN’s Presidential Election coverage topped the night in the 18-49 demographic on the cable with a huge 2.37 rating. CNN’s election coverage averaged 7.923 million viewers.

In overall viewership, WWE NXT defeated AEW Dynamite in the “Wednesday Night War” by 107,000 viewers.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, headlined by Tommaso Ciampa, averaged a 0.14 rating among adults 18-49. This down up from the 0.25 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, featuring a face to face confrontation with Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston, averaged a 0.30 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.32 rating they had last week.
