Kurt Angle reveals planned program with WWE dropped, confirms he is not signed with the company

Kurt Angle revealed on his podcast that an idea for a three-week program was dropped by “at the last second” and he is not signed to the company.

Angle did not go into details about the program, or the why it was dropped.

Angle and his family were was at last weekend’s Royal Rumble in St. Louis, Mo. He did say that he did some documentary interviews and a Friday meet and greet. He did confirm WWE contacted him about a short return that would have been “for a month or so.” He further stated that he was really excited for what the company had planned.

Angle ha retired from in-ring action following WrestleMania 35. He was released from his backstage with WWE in April 2020 as part of budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
