WWE UK Championship Tournament returning
WWE.com is reporting that Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed during the WWE’s Business Partner Summit that the United Kingdom Championship Tournament would be returning for two nights this year on June 18 and 19 in London.
The tournament, taking place at Royal Albert Hall in London, will be an extension to the previous tournament that took place last January in Blackpool. That tournament crowned the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion in Tyler Bate.
Based on an advertisement that aired during last night’s Hall of Fame ceremony, it would appear the tournament will take on the “King of the Ring” name.
Early look at new WWE Network content
Speaking of that advertisment, WWE has posted the full commercial that advertises new content coming to the WWE Network in 2018.
We provided a full rundown of the new content last night if you missed it, including a new WWE 365 with AJ Styles, the second annual Mae Young Classic, the “King of the Ring” UK tournament (noted above), “Something Else to Wrestle With” podcast with Bruce Prichard, the Greatest Royal Rumble special later this month and much more.
