MVP, who made his return to WWE after a nearly 10 year absence at the WWE Royal Rumble this past Sunday, announced he has had his final WWE match.
Making the announcement on Instagram, MVP stated that his final WWE match took place on Monday Night Raw against Rey Mysterio. MVP referred to Mysterio as a “close friend.”
MVP says that the end of his career is “looming larger every month.” Speaking on Corey Graves’ “After the Bell” podcast, MVP said he would love to take a role behind-the-scenes in WWE once his career ends.
In WWE, MVP is a two-time United States Champion and one-time WWE Tag Team Champion. Since his release in 2010, MVP has competed in NJPW, TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, MLW, and Ring of Honor.
