Roman Reigns publicly apologizes to fans for not performing at WrestleMania 36

Roman Reigns apologizes

Roman Reigns took to Instagram earlier today to confirm reports that he will not be performing at WrestleMania 36.

“For all my fans, I’m sorry I didn’t get to compete this year and put on a show and entertain. Sometimes things are more important and I had to make a choice for me and my family. But no matter what, you already know the deal, man, I showed up. I made the town. I made it to Orlando. I had to make a decision for me. It doesn’t take anything away from what I’ve done and what I’m going to do. I still love this game. I still love pro wrestling, sports entertainment. I love being in the ring. It’s a little weird being in the ring with nobody watching, nobody in the arena. But, man, I’m ready to get back to work. I’m just taking these times to build up the outside and come as close as possible to perfecting the inside.”

Reigns also spoke about his reasons for not competing. A lot of people think it is about his health, but Reigns states no one has the full story. No one knows if he has newborns at home or older family living with him. Reigns advocated for everyone to be nicer to each other during these times and to wash your hands and not touch your face.

WWE is still advertising that Roman Reigns will be facing Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. To see reports of who will replace Reigns at WrestleMania, click here.
