This Wednesday’s WWE NXT will see the return of a WWE Hall of Famer.
WWE announced today that Kurt Angle will be the referee for the Cage Fight between Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher. After retiring at WrestleMania 35, Angle had been working backstage as a producer before being released this past April.
Also scheduled for the show is Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai taking on NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and a partner of her choosing. It was announced yesterday that Flair would be defending her title against Ripley and Shirai at NXT TakeOver: In Your House on June 7.
