WWE reportedly using NXT talent in crowd for this week’s Raw and SmackDown

WWE reportedly using NXT talent in crowd for Raw and SmackDown

According to new reports from PWInsider and Fightful, WWE will begin to have talent as and audience to help create a live atmosphere, starting with tonight’s episode of Raw.

Tonight’s episode, which is being pre-taped, is said to have WWE NXT developmental talent sitting in the crowd.

It was reported that WWE had originally opted to maintain the empty buildings as the feeling among some executives was that it would look bad in places where social distancing was being promoted by the Center For Disease Control. It was also thought that it would hurt the professional look and feel of WWE TV broadcasts.

According to Fightful, Dominik Dijakovic, Chelsea Green, Shotzi Blackheart, Jessamyn Duke and other NXT talent will be used in the crowd. It is also being said there is a dress code of black pants and black shoes set for the spots, as well as whatever WWE t-shirts that will be provided.

It was also noted that there is hockey glass around the barriers with audience members spaced out at least six feet apart.

All Elite Wrestling has opted to have talent in the crowd over the past several months on Dynamite and for their Double or Nothing pay-per view, which was this past Saturday.

As of this report, it is unknown if this is a permanent change or just an experiment for this week’s Raw and SmackDown tapings.
