WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks did not appear at this weekend’s WWE Live Supershow events.
WWE cited “unforeseen circumstances” to explain their absences, which were announced to the crowd at Saturday night’s show Charlotte, North Carolina and Sunday night in Columbia, South Carolina.
Belair is scheduled to defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at Saturday’s SummerSlam from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
WWE SummerSlam will air live on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.
