Mandy Rose released from her WWE contract

Mandy Rose released by WWE

Less than 24 hours after dropping the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez on WWE NXT, it is being reported that WWE has released Mandy Rose.

As first reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and confirmed by multiple other sources, Rose was released from her contract following the leak of risque content posted to her FanTime account.

According to the Fightful report, “WWE officials felt they were put in a tough position based on the content she was posting on her FanTime page. They felt like it was outside of the parameters of her WWE deal.”

Mandy Rose started with WWE after competing on Tough Enough in 2015, which was won by Josh Bredl and Sara Lee, who recently passed away. After spending most of the next two years in developmental, she made her main roster debut along with Sonya Deville and Paige (now Saraya in AEW) in November 2017 as the stable Absolution.

After participating in notable storylines, including one as a love interest of Otis and a feud with Sonya Deville, she would return to NXT in 2021. She won the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc in 2021.

The match against Roxanne Perez was initially supposed to take place on New Year’s Evil in 2023, but they instead did an angle where they didn’t want to wait and did the match last night. Rose held the NXT Women’s Championship for 413 days, the third-longest reign in the history of the brand. The NXT UK Women’s Championship was retired and unified with the title during her reign.
