Cody Rhodes spoke to Sam Roberts on his podcast around the premiere of the WWE documentary American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes, addressing a number of topics.
Among the topics discussed was the road to the main event of WrestleMania, a road that did not go to the destination he had hoped for:
“I was telling my mom it’s like being elected President in the business, to know that you got the match at WrestleMania, that you got the main event of the year in sports-entertainment…and in pro wrestling.
It’s very bittersweet, because it’s great to main event WrestleMania…but after having done it, you have to win at WrestleMania.”
