Gable Steveson wrestles his second match in NXT at a house show Friday night

On Friday night, Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson wrestled his second match for WWE at an NXT house show in Sebring, Florida.

Steveson squared off against Dante Chen at the house show event. Garrett Hooks who was in attendance, took to X (formerly known as Twitter), noting that after what was a back and forth match, Steveson came out with the win.

Several media outlets recently reported that Steveson was originally scheduled to compete in the 2023 Senior World Championships in Serbia later this month. However, he withdrew from the event this past week. It is unknown as to what the exactly the withdrawal means for Steveson’s amateur wrestling future.

His in-ring debut was a match against Baron Corbin this past July at the NXT Great American Bash PLE. The match only last about six minutes and ended in a double count-out.
