Backstage news from 9/11 WWE Raw; Closing Stock

The following are backstage notes from Monday’s WWE Raw, which took place at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, courtesy of PWInsider.

There was no meeting, acknowledgement or announcement regarding Endeavor’s expected official acquisition on Tuesday, September 12 of WWE relayed to the Raw roster.

The show was said to be finalized at around 5:00 pm ET, with a number of matches and backstage segments shifted, added and dropped up until that time (5:00 pm ET).

Vince McMahon was not physically present at Monday’s Raw. PWInsider did not indicate in their report if Vince had any input into the show.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Bruce Prichard ran the show, which is said to be “the norm.”

WWE’s stock closed on Monday, for what is expected to be for the final time, at $100.65 a share. WWE became an official publicly traded company back on October 19, 1999 opening at $17 a share.

With the expected acquisition of WWE by Endeavor, the parent company of UFC, the two entities will form TKO Group Holdings.

The official announcement of Endeavor taking over WWE is expected sometime on Tuesday morning.
