According to WWE, Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes both suffered contusions after their match on Friday night’s episode of SmackDown. The match was stopped after both men landed badly in the ring. WWE also noted that both men will be ‘okay’.
Theory attempted an avalanche flatliner on Hayes off of the ropes, but ended up spiking himself on the mat. It also looked liked Theory and Hayes had knocked heads with each others as well. Referee Ryan Tran immediately called for the bell and thus the match was stopped. WWE medical staff then came in to the ring and checked on Theory and Hayes.
