WWE’s Bayley revealed during an appearance on Insights with Chris Van Vliet, she only has a year and half left on her current deal with WWE.
“I have a year and a half left on this current contract, so we’ll see what happens then,” Bayley said. “And then what? Man, I don’t know. I think I’ve done everything I really want to do, not everything. There’s still a lot I want to get done, but done so much with WWE and I’ve been here for already 12 years. And there’s like a huge wave of women coming in that I think are ready to take over and ready to be in those spots.”
Bayley also said that at 35, she believes she can still wrestle and has not set a date of when she will step away from the ring. She also said that one day she would also like to open her own wrestling school.
The interview was done before WrestleMania. WWE did an angle during the WrestleMania Night One Countdown show with Bayley being attacked backstage, thus taking her out of the Women’s Tag Team Title Match at Night Two. Lyra Valkyria was then forced to find a new partner, which was the returning Becky Lynch. Valkyria and Lynch would go to defeat Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the titles, only to drop them the next night on WWE Raw to Morgan and Rodriguez.
During the WrestleMania 41 Night One Post-Press Conference, Paul Levesque noted Bayley to be a “true pro” and would be just fine, even though she lost her spot at WrestleMania over Lynch.
