We see the usual intro, then we hear the music of S.C.U.M. as Steve Corino makes his way to the ring, along with Jimmy Jacobs. Corino says that its a new era in ROH, the end is near & the era of S.C.U.M. has begun. If you watched Border Wars, you know 2 things. There is a new color commentator every week until this pitiful show gets canceled and his name is Steve Corino. More importantly, one of my men will get a ROH World Title shot and they will not only be the next ROH champion, but the last ROH champion.
Corino joins the commentary table alongside Kevin Kelly, then the music of Jay Lethal hits as he makes his way to the ring, albeit it with a limp after the knee injury he sustained at Border Wars. Lethal gets a mic and says that what happened at Border Wars with my knee injury was an unfortunate mistake, but also was allowing Kevin Steen to replace me in the match when we don't even know where Steen's loyalty lies. My loyalty lies with ROH and tonight, I will stand over Jimmy Jacobs's dead body. Nigel McGuinness has already agreed to the match, so the only thing you have to do is.....
Jacobs pulls Lethal out to the outside and the match has begun.

Back from commercial, ROH match-maker Nigel McGuinness is in the ring. Nigel says that at Border Wars, Jay Briscoe successfully defended the ROH title against Adam Cole. Jay proved he is no paper champion & Cole proved he is championship material. Nigel says Cole does deserve a re-match, but there are a few people ahead of him to get the next shot. The 1st person is Michael Elgin. Crowd chants for Elgin. Elgin earned a title shot and he assured me he is ready at anytime, but first he wants to redeem his recent loss to New Japan's Karl Anderson and also get rid of S.C.U.M. before he cashes in on that title shot. So that opens up some spots for 2 guys who could not get a shot when Kevin Steen was champion, the American Wolves, Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards and they will get their shots. So, that brings us to Best in the World on June 22nd.
Before Nigel can continue, the music of the ROH champion Jay Briscoe hits and he makes his way to the ring. Jay says that Nigel has some tough opponents lined up for him and that's good because I like kicking people's ass. When you booked me against Adam Cole at Border Wars, I whooped his ass. Now, you have Michael Elgin, the American Wolves. Well, I guess I'll have to whoop everybody's ass. There is not a man in this company that can beat me. Line them up, I'll whoop their ass.
All of a sudden, Mark Briscoe comes to the ring and gets a mic. Mark says he has heard enough. Ever since Jay won the belt, all you can talk about is how you can whoop everyone's ass. Didn't "big man" bring us up to be humble? We pick up dead chickens and all you can talk is how you can whoop everyone's ass. We out scooping up dog crap and all you can talk about is how you can whoop everyone's ass. We out drinking cold beer and still, all you wanna talk about is how you can whoop everyone's ass. Damnit, I've heard enough. Remember, brother, my 1st match in ROH, it was me that whooped your ass.
Jay says that Nigel heard him, he thinks he can whoop my ass. Baltimore is right now the road from Sandy Fork. We can bring the whole Briscoe family, hell, we can bring the whole Sussex County to Maryland. Nigel, all you gotta do is make the match, Best in the World, June 22nd, ROH World Title, Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe!!
Crowd chants "do it now" as Nigel says that there is an old saying, nobody fights like family, so I have something to think about.
