Following the opening match between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam Night One, fans posted to social media, showing Breakker limping and being helped to the back.
After Rollins cashed-in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title, after Punk had defeated Gunther, Breakker was seen in the ring during the post-match celebration with his right leg taped up. The injury occurred after Breakker had missed a clothesline on a table and hit his knee.
Per Fightful Select, a reader revealed that Breakker arrived about an hour late to his photo-op session, which took place on Sunday. It was also said that the representative from WWE that accompanied Breakker told workers to hurry through the photos. In addition, the reader also said to Fightful Select, Breakkers knee looked “a bit swollen.”
Fightful Select notes that when asked about Breakker’s knee, a source told the publication that Breakker was going to be evaluated, and the hope is that the injury is not a bad one.
Injury update on Gunther
Gunther was busted open during his WWE World Heavyweight Title Match against CM Punk at SummerSlam Night One.
According to F4WOnline, the now former World Champion has been dealing with a nose issue which will require surgery. It was added that the Gunther’s nose being busted open during the match was 100 percent worked and planned.
