Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus rematch not taking place at SummerSlam

Becky Lynch will get her rematch against WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, but it will take place at this Saturday’s SummerSlam premium live event.

During Monday night’s episode of Raw, Lynch challenged Stratus to a match. WWE official Adam Pearce then booked the match. Zoey Stark immediately attacked Lynch forcing the disqualification. After the bell, Lynch brawled with Stratus and Stark. Stratus eventually hit Lynch with a chair and walked off to end the segment.

In a backstage segment, Pearce told Stratus what took place was unacceptable. She then told Pearce that she did not have enough time to prepare for the match. Pearce followed up by telling Stratus that she will now have plenty of time to prepare, since the rematch will take place on the August 14 episode of Raw. Peace also told Stratus she will have a home-field advantage because the show will take place in Winnipeg.

Lynch and Stratus last squared off at Night of Champions this past May. With some help from Stark, Stratus picked up the win. Lynch earned another match with Stratus after she defeating Stark on last week’s show.

WWE later, posted a segment with Becky Lynch going to a merchandise table at the Toyota Center taking “The Man” t-shirts and throwing them down. She said that Trish doesn’t want to fight her. As Lynch tossed more shirts, she said they were part of the problem and maybe if they sold more, Trish would fight her.
