Former WWE Developmental Talent Sentenced To Jail

According to a report by CBS Detroit, former WWE development talent Conrad Tanner (real name Kyle Rasmussen), has been sentenced to 153 days in jail after he strangled a driver while he was in the rear backseat of the vehicle.

The report also notes the 42-year-old must also serve two years of probation in connection to the crime which happened last year.

In November 2022, Rasmussen was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or by strangulation. He was also given a $25,000 cash surety bond.

Back on July 7, 2023, Rasmussen pleaded no contest right before the trial was scheduled to begin.

-The incident occured at roughly 2:20 am local time back on October 29, 2022.

-Rasmussen was riding in the backseat of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado on M-59 in Rochester Hills when he attempted to grab the steering wheel and strangle the driver. The driver then stopped the vehicle off of M-59, near the Adams Road ramp. 

-Officials stated the driver was able to escape and flee the area once the vehicle came to a stop. 

-Rasmussen’s girlfriend, Sarah Ratliff, 30, who was also in the vehicle, fled from the scene. She was then struck by a vehicle on westbound M-59, about 100 feet from where the truck was stopped. Officials said she died shortly after the incident at a local hospital.

The report also notes Rasmussen had previously worked as a fitness trainer. 

Rasmussen, under the in-ring name of Conrad Tanner debuted in Florida Championship Wrestling in 2009. He wrestled a total of 26 matches and retired after he has his last match on November 11, 2010 against Jacob Novak.
